Unlike the vast majority of my posts, I need to be serious for once.

I always listen to David Jeremiah's program on the radio on my way to work in the morning. Today, he ended his message with a statement that really touched me. I grabbed a pen & paper from the glove box to jot it down, so I got it right. He said:

"I've had some friends over the years, who I have said about them, everytime I am in their presence, when I left I always felt better" (than when he arrived).

Folks, that sums up my experience at this and all previous Gatherings.

Do not forsake the gathering together of ourselves, and exhort one another.

(And now back to our regularly scheduled program)

I think you nailed it, its kinda funny because as we were leaving Somerset Sunday morning we werent even out of the parking lot and I noticed that both of the girls were tearing up a little and I said "just like a family reunion", Page responded "I dont cry at those, (we skipped a family reunion to come to the Gathering), and I always wish after the Gatherings that we all lived closer, thanks for posting that Jack.

I caught part of his show today (I believe it was about encouraging), but I must have missed that part. I completely agree.

It was his closing comment, and yes, it was one of his encouragement series.
