#1 72maverick Finally...pictures of my '72 Maverick
Well, it's been about 2 years since I've been able to devote much time to the Maverick. With the wife, kids, moving twice, etc.; but the day has finally come. Last Friday I was able to drive it for the first time in about three years. Not only that, but it passed inspection too! It's a '72 with a 351C-2V mated to a T-5, shaved shock towers, 8" rear, new front coils, a-arms, etc. I'll post more photos later but I'm currently traveling for business and this is all I have.

Feels good doesn't it. Your car looks great. What manifolds or headers did you use? My new powerplant will be Cleveland headed.

Jeff, Yes, it's a great feeling. I really lost interest in the car a year ago. there was even talk of me getting rid of it. I'm so glad now I stuck to it.

I'm currently running Mustang exhaust manifolds. I purchased Tubular Auto headers (for 351C in Mav, Comet, Falcon, etc; 8 individual tubes, the rear two cross over). I even had them installed. However, I had major interferences with my steering linkage. Three tubes would have needed surgery to work. I didn't have the time to take on that task so I cut my losses and sold them. Plus they hung real low. I wanted this car to be a driver and could forsee speed bump issues.

Let me know how your motor turns out. I've always wanted to build a Clevor.

Glad to hear you finally have it on the road again! Looking forward to seeing you again. Oh crap, when is the Street Machines anyway? I forgot all about it and was hoping I could make it this year. Unfortunately work has been kind of crazy.. if I had this nutso project done I'd have a better chance. :(
