| #1 jmgford | What else would you do on a 100+ degree day? | ||

I have been meaning to gather up some misc Maverick parts to take to Somerset (free to those who need them), so yesterday I went over to my storage garage to do just that. Problem was that they were buried in the back of an all-metal, uninsulated garage. The upside was that I think I lost about 5 lbs in 20 minutes! :rollinglaugh: I see the forecasted high is only supposed to be 90 today, so I might have to dig out a jacket. |

well, we chose to tear our deck apart and replace the boards because they were oozing sap(nothing to do with the 100+ degree temps I'm sure :rolleyes: ) gonna finish it today,..... probably with a jacket on as well :thumbsup: have fun in your metal sauna:clap: |

| I got the Comet GT up on the trailer this morning to take to the shop to have some work done on it while we are gone. That sucker is still heavy, even without the engine and tranny. Had to put some straps on it and winch it by hand up the ramps. :banghead: | |||

I towed it over with my motorcyclle. It has a hitch on it. :rollinglaugh: Actually my Montanna has a hitch so I could move the fishing boat I used to have in Pinetop. Also I cleaned up the floor in the trailer. Checked the air in the tires too. The truck is supposed to be done tomorrow. Only problem is that it's 200 miles away. Also the new trailer hitch gets here tomorrow. Ignition switch on the 70 screwed up again today when we were picking up Ruth's Taurus. We left the 70 there and they are putting a new switch in first thing tomorrow. Then they are putting a new motor mount in the Taurus. Then the 70 will go in the trailer and we'll start packing all the boxes that need to go bact to Somerset. We're thrashing as usual. Maybe with all the problems beforehand we won't have any on the road this year.:thumbsup: |

| Jack that sounds like something best done at about 6am at the latest. :D Been too hot here to do anything. Well except swim, which I actually enjoyed over the 4th of July holiday. Saturday when it was well over 100 here I sat inside on my rear and did geek stuff (upgraded the OS on my phone and tweaked it and reloaded my apps :p ). I did go for a Sunday evening drive in the Maverick with Faith after the cooler weather finally arrived. It was a beautiful evening for cruising. | |||

No Jack, I am just not up for the trip, nor anywhere ready for it if I was. I was buried with a project pretty much all of April, May and June, and during that time Marion had her other knee replacement, so I had no real free time to do anything. After the project finally went in, I was just whooped and needed a long break, which I really didn't get until last weekend. Even if I wanted to make the trip without the car (because of the truck needing tires), I still need to fix the coolant leak in the van, and the kids are tired of being cramped in the back seat of the Focus. I already had a bit of regret looking at the weather for next week in Somerset - it looks like it's going to be cooler than last year, and much cooler than here. |
