A George Bencene, using forum name Montesavr250, posted some parts for sale on this board on April 15th. The listing was for some Comet parts and the last line was this :"...................... , also have a set of 4 wheel opening trim, NEW $75. All from a 1975.
I answered his post and sent an email which he responded to. He gave me his phone number & I called and we talked for awhile and he said he would get a shipping price for the mouldings. I followed up with a couple emails and he got back to me a week or so later with the amount and apologized for the delay and said he had some issues with his girlfriend's health. I sent him a cashier's check on May 3rd, which he cashed on May 11th, and that is the end of it. No mouldings and he does not answer my calls or emails. I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt, that something may have happened, but I suspect I just got ripped off. He lives near Niagra Falls in Gasport, NY. Has anyone ever heard of him?
