#1 Larry Winter The 7th Annual Mav/Com meet in Ontario
Well, its a little late this year. normally this would happen the first Sunday in May and was started by Daydreamer. Mr Ron is very busy at work with a whole lot of hours he's been putting in and his damn car is apart. So, never the less we still need to have The 7th meet.
I'm looking at sometime in the last week of June or first week of July most likely a Sunday, (this will have to be before or after the long weekend if it applies) Not all guys will make this year do to; cars not being finished or crazy behavioral problems that need adjusting with a 2x4, up side the head. So as it is, we are going to Welland this year, Derek 5.0 we need good place to go for lunch and to pick a date.

Well this is a great idea larry. 2 dates good for me are June 24th or July 8th. Probably won,t drive all the way as 462 rear and a rev manual valve body makes for a interesting drive. You and Derek see what others pick for dates, then choose and put out the word. The more you promote it the better the out come usually is.If you don,t addvertise it, the info and comradery fall by the wayside. good luck . Ron:thumbsup:

June 24th sounds good for me i'll plan a route we can meet up and go for lunch. We don't have to come to Welland (Unless a cruise and a BBQ at my place is a idea too) But can meet up in Vineland or somewhere and go from there. Will work on the details and ideas are always welcome.

The 24th sounds good. We are meeting at Fifty Road Exit at the truck stop say around 9:30 ish AM , than taking the Wine route to Jordan Station where we'll take a back side road to a little Mill town (Effingham) , Than turning left at Sulphur Spring Dr. really nice drive. This is a car event as we are going to be filming it , so if your in a truck or a farm tractor or something not a Maverick or Comet go straight to Diner or restaurant. A couple of guys i know are setting up a camera in my car and one mounted in there vehicle. They will be stopping along way taking vidios.

Yes , what he said.............., "Your car?" Say it's not so.

So what we have here is the second Mountain Cruise and the 7th Annual Maverick Comet meet and greet.
I'm good with June 24th and any location. It will be good to see the boys and their toys again. Hell i might even oil the Comet for this as it will be filmed.

Yep my car.... family troubles. Not my choice but stuff happens right? I may have an issue with somewhere to park the car thats safe. No garage at my Moms and I dont trust the neighborhood to leave it in the driveway. Its staying here at home right now but I will look for an affordable garage to rent?? Dont know at this point. Also if I need the money it has to go. Not cause my wife wants money but cause I may need it to get a place if things dont work out. Its really up in the air right now. Even if I sell it could take a long time. I wont give it away. I have a reserve price so to speak in my head.

Just remember Darren, just give me a call if you need any help that i can provide. If i had the money i would buy it off you for what you want and when the day came and you want to buy it back, you can have it for the same price all day long. Come on lottery ticket!!!!

Will you still be able to attend the Meet and Greet?

Still coming. The car isnt a priority right now. Too many other things to take care of. NO time to even think about getting it ready to sell or not. I will however have more free time and will need to keep busy. Plan on doing more with the car and getting back into fishing before my boat rotts away. Assuming I can afford it.

Be glad to see you Darren and the Maverick at the Meet and Greet. And (as if i need to tell you) family comes first, kids are the most important thing of all and all else does not matter but them.

Still you need to have some fun too.................... know what i mean brother.

Yep the kids and my wifes well being are my first concern. Ill be OK in time. I have good family and good friends. Ive had more offers for help than I can remember to thank. Its really renews your faith in people when they come to your aid. Its only been a few days and just the offers to store and watch over my car are staggering. Never mind all the personal support Ive been offered. Its hard to describe in words.

Yes, us guys out this way will converge on the truck stop at Fifty Rd , Mountain side of the highway, I the think Daydreamer will truck his car there, as he has some big gears in the back end. This Saturday, i will be installing a new bell housing for the five speed , It moves the cable away from the headers an extra inch.

I think all our tires can run over gravel without getting any damage.

Have a nice day fellas.
