#1 Grabber5.0 Forums are back
In case anybody noticed.. the forums were down for several days while I worked with my hosting company to fix the issue. The good thing that came from this is they moved me to a server running newer software, which is something I had been griping about for a while anyway.

Carry on.

Last week was busy, and somehow this week has been even busier. Trying to hold on to my sanity! :p

I could tell when they restored it that it was not a fresh backup. So much for daily backups. I'm not sure I have a reliable way to do off-site backups, or I would be doing them - but it would also eat into my bandwidth limit pretty hard. And why should I have to do that when I'm paying for their service? (see now, ya got me started :D)

I got a pretty good deal on the site as a whole, and it only costs me $100/year for hosting. I'd love to upgrade to a dedicated server, but it would cost many times more. Even for a "virtual" private server (better, but still shared - though we use them at work, so they do work well if set up right) would cost over twice as much. It would give me more control over the server, but it might also move the responsibility for setting it up over to me, and while I'm pretty good, I'm no system administrator. Code monkey write code.
