#1 comrick317 What has happened to the NAMCC, does it still exist?
I was wondering, does the NAMCC (North American Maverick Comet Club) that Jimmy2Gates started still exist? Did he have his annual Maverick Comet car show at the track in B.C. in September?

Does anyone here know. Does anyone have any pictures if he did do the show?

Here's a picture from 2010:

Didn't he buy a Canadian Nova and jump over to the dark side?

I like the Cheby II's also, their nice looking cars with great styling.

So i guess that means in the end the NAMCC is most likely dead. Too bad as i liked the thought that there was another Maverick Comet club out there in Canada. The more the better.

There's nothing wrong with another club, but unless you don't care for any of the existing ones, what's the point? I am going to bash Jimmy at all, but I will tell you that his NAMCC began as what he referred to as "the Canadian chapter of the MCG". That was done without the blessing of the MCG, plus he wanted to be completely autonomous and collect his own funds. That generated the name change which allowed him to do all of that.

Wherever two or more folks gather in the name of the Maverick/Comet community, you have a club. (Wow, that sounded almost spiritual.) :)

It's obvious that you Canucks have a lot of fun at your cruise-in's and get-togethers, just like we do down here. Whether you are members of the MCG, the other group, or nothing at all, you can still enjoy the GATHERING of Maverick & Comets. :)

I do recall the whole thing about the NAMCC and the MCG Canadian division thing. That was a couple of years ago. At the time i was a bit lost how it all worked. In the end i remember he named it the NAMCC but i thought everyone had worked it all out. Hoped i didn't open up any old wounds on the subject.

As it stands, i'm a member of the MCG, NRMCC, and the Canuck midget tossing club........... er............. never mind.:p

Either way it's the love of these cars that makes it all so very much fun.

Ron i like to call myself the worlds tallest midget so with that in mind it gives me the chance to join that tossing club. They only allow guys my height and taller to join............. or ........... something ....... like ............... that.

I'm willing to bet there is a guy out there that is a midget who drives a Maverick or Comet who now hates me.
