#1 Fro 76 Mercury Comet parts
A buddy and I (MAB) recently purchased a 76 Comet for parts, we are using all of the front suspension and engine, the car is extremely rusty and most of the body panels are junk but it has some decent black deluxe interior parts and most of the chrome is in really good shape, it was a V8 auto car with power steering and A/C, please PM me with any questions and prices on whatever it is your looking for.

The grille is pretty decent, it has a few cracks but would be good driver quality, the fender trim is also pretty good, none of the side markers were worth saving and the headlight bezels I would call below average, I can post some pictures tomorrow if you are interested.

Hi Jeff,

Dad is missing one of the little chrome knobs for releasing the seat back. I don't know if the later cars even had those.

I didn't save them Jack because the chrome was peeling. I did save the headrests though.

And passenger fender chrome, I would make you a good deal on all 6 pcs of the chrome, it's all in pretty good condition.

Jeff, do you have the rear tail light wiring harness. Mine has a broken bulb holder. The one I have also has plastic bulb holders for the backup lights. I'm also looking for a good set of transmission lines that go to the radiator from the tranny. But mine is a 250. Not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks, Don:p

Hi Don, the mice had eaten most all of the wiring up in the car but I did save the bulb holders themselves and there is enough wire left on them to use, I would be happy to send them to you also the transmission lines were cut up to install a Jatco trans by the previous owner, I bought lines for mine from the local Mustang restoration shop, they are aftermarket and very reasonable and took very little tweaking to fit, let me know if you want me to drop these in the mail.

How about just bringing them to the Gathering. I'm not in any hurry. My tranny lines in the Comet GT are all cut up too. Guess I'll try the Mustang store when I'm ready. Thanks

They don't look too bad, but I think we are going to wait and see what we do with the rest of the interior. Thanks, Jeff.

Jeff, Do you have one of those little "L" brackets that attach the battery hold-down to the apron? Dad's car needs one.
